A Prayer a Day
12/25/13
It is sunny and extremely cold out beyond these walls
and I thank the goodness of my life that buffers me
from the sharp edges of winter.
It is the day of days for so many people....Christmas.
It is a day that children rush the dawn
to seek what has been given them,
with their excited little hands and
sparkling eyes dancing with surprise.
And deeply holy and significant for many
who participate in divine rituals and religious traditions.
And then there are those who are in this world
so very far from anything remotely joyful or celebratory,
they are the suffering and the poor and the lonely.
Today I focus the energy of my spirit sending unconditional
love and light to those who feel they have been forgotten.
I send blessings into the hearts and souls of the unfortunate, and I ask the great creator to mitigate the pain and warring that far to many of our fellow human beings have been made to endure.
May the arms of the saintly angelic forces in this universe minister to the needy and mend the damaged and wounded bodies, minds and hearts of our brothers and sisters around this globe.
May their struggles not be in vain and may their loved ones who have been taken be in peaceful rest in the circle of their ancestors.
