And the poet has left the stage
having nurtured all the world
with pages of divine thinking
She was a wonder of a wonder
A powerful passionate thunderbolt of sanity
No vanity displayed but for
the brightness of her inner light
the brightness of her inner light
Her words were wise and brave and
not in any way was she a slave to mediocrity
She
was a
mountain
of a
mother
of a
woman
By many hearts...she will be missed
Forever now to live in bliss
This marvel of a genius poet
This glory of a human
Maya Angelou....rest ye’ now
