A Prayer a Day

It takes a great
amount of courage
(steady as you go)
To look
present day
reality
(in the eye)
Facing
the truth
of
mortal matters
Appearing
(larger than life)
And not actively
consider an escape route
As the collective heart begs
peace and quiet and
cool breezy easy
states of relief
Life is hard and demands strength
of body/mind and holy integrity of character
Praying this day that we hold true with grit to
meet with acceptance the responsibilities
calling out to us from each moment
Divinely able to deal with
(what is and what’s so)
Flexing spirit muscles
Carrying light
Fueled with love
Listening,
