A Prayer a Day
02/04/11

What can be said that has not already been said
and prayed for a thousands times over ?

Nothing actually, though every thread of thinking
brings us new possibilities for creation.

Every thought resonates into our present.

We shape our lives with the thoughts we own.

We design our future with the words we use.

Reflecting on our past, we often identify key words
looking through filters of emotional memories.

These are our subjective building blocks,
and not the only place to source from.

Into the silence may we go daily.

May we meditate to navigate this mortal plane

Concerns about the future prick our conscience, some days tauntingly.

What are we to do ? What are we to do ?

Feelings swell up.

Sensations flood our nervous systems.

We either choose or refuse what it is our minds put forward.

Let’s pray to travel our thinking into creatively inspired canals of hope and trust and faith,

with each breath of life, for every light filled day, into each dream of night,

remaining aligned with our true nature, connected to spirit’s voice,

holding gratitude for this incarnation.

Let’s act with love.

May we heal in our time, honing skills, able to leap over

and beyond the limits of our self-absorbing egos’ tricks.

May we see past our own dramas, respecting our vulnerabilities.

May we face our failings and be humbled by our gifts and successes.

Let this be another day to learn, another way to see each others' radiance.

Listening,

Rev. Mudra
