A Prayer a Day

In any given moment, when choosing a path,
I choose a path of openness, love and conscious curiosity.
Challenged at times to take sides, admitting I would rather not.
Having so often witnessed
the failed results of fixed mindedness
fueling destructive forces of polarization.
Watching heels stubbornly dig in, while little gets done.
I attempt to harness, with the best of my ability
and with as much objectivity, as is possible, to see
both sides of the fence, hoping to invoke divine solutions
and opportunities, standing together on grounds of reason.
It is never easy and it takes visceral patience.
This day I pray for the wisdom
that would have us collectively
listen to one another with respect,
honoring the time it takes for
wholesome paradigms to safely root.
In the name of creativity and
the living god/goddess within,
let us pray the healing
of humanity.
