A Prayer a Day

Though her feelings
ran deep, she could not
always dive down to meet them.
Tears might appear at random.
No reason visible to her,
But she oddly enjoyed their expression.
Almost as a pleasurable ache of the familiar.
Sometimes it made her feel divinely ancient.
Other times she felt tender,... innocent.... young again.
Most times it put her in touch with herself,
Her real self, her god/goddess self, her humanity,
And once again the well-spring of love
flowing within
