"Within the Deeper Heart"

A Prayer a Day

Within the deeper heart of humankind,
I believe there lives an innate goodness.
Ultimately, I hold faith in the overall mortal design,
though as of late, we appear to be chaotic in shadow,
at the bending will of ego.
Might we remain encouraged for
the existence of seen and unseen light carriers
and every active holy angel, prayerful among us,
devoted to working overtime, creating ways in which
we as a species can live together in graceful harmlessness,
respectful of each other and nature.
Let us pray each day and spy on our own blind-spots,
calling ourselves out gently, when need be,
to stay alert and conscious, joining purposely
to fortify sacred vibrations of love,
for the collective peaceful healing
of our worldly relationships.
