The politicking powers that be

Where is the integrity

Where is the kindness

Where is the compassion

Praying truth 

make itself holy know

Praying love 

regain its proper place

Praying again 

and again 

for peace

Oh only to sing in celebration of the 

true spirit of human-being-ness

Surprise parties

The freedom dances

The lovers pulling my heart strings

The bonding loyalty of friendship rings

Every memory held tight

The soul school of day

The soul school of night

The dreamer’s dream

The angel that is always near

Every touch of grace

 Every cleansing tear 

Each belly laughter

The here and now
