Oh Mother Earth

Forgive our trespasses 

We humbly bow before thee

Pray we walk more gently upon your lands

Pray we stand loyal, honoring your rhythms

Pray we garden here tenderly with love

Pray we seed with divine sensibility

Pray we come to respect 

the sacredness of that 

which is natural

Pray we effort to creatively protect

 not destroy the life force of all things

Pray balance be restored on every

breath we take in godlike moments

Pray we holy heal 

our relationship with thee

Oh Mother Earth

Asking the heavens above

 What are we as a species here for ?

What is our charge ? What is our purpose ?

Why so much crazy ? Why so much suffering ?

Why so many power struggles?

Praying for the Lord God/Goddess of light

 to shine mightily into the body/minds

 of humankind and wake the better selves of

 us in concert, that we may redirect our 

intention away from conflict and war towards

 creativity, love, kindness and understanding.

Return us 

OhHoly Mother

 to the garden of peace.

cold, speedy, greedy

tender, curious, creative,

destructive, egotistical,

humble, romantic, pedantic,

arrogant, loving, helpful, 

generous, charismatic, 

beautifully astute at the root, 

resilient in spirit,

 full of possibility

Given an awesome and often 

 a dangerously mighty mortal menu 

of complexity and wonder to choose from and share

Praying wholesome and holy results

If only I could, I would wave a magic wand

 to manifest peace between all peoples and all nations.

 Sighting rainbows dancing in the heavens above, 

while divine light shines down upon us,

sanity prevails, love boldly blazes 

the trails and kindness feeds every heart.

Praying here and now with humility 

for calm relief across the globe, 

and humankind breathing

freely and deeply 

in collective wonder

Alas realizing 

the true art of living 

is a sacred invitation for us 

to harmoniously share together
