So many thought-forms
Humanity is awfully discordant, as of late
Nature has a lot to say about it
Speaking a multitude of languages
I had a conversation with a starling
the other day and he was wondering
Why we aren't happier, as a people
Why we get mad so much
Why we war with each other
He said
Isn't life itself enough a reason to be glad
Isn't the moon a soothing pleasure
Isn't the suns' light a wonder
Isn't the breath of a heartbeat heavenly.
Don't you see the miracles all around
Why not share the love that's in the air
everywhere with one another

Injustice makes my blood boil
The heart of me is trying so
very hard to hold fast to love
But an egoic anger stepped
into my thinking this morning
Admittedly not my preferred state
Hearing about
House set to fire
Hateful words tossed like pennies in a fountain
Revengeful intentions uttered by bullying leaders
Fury builds up and blocks
the peace flow of my body/mind
What to do What to do
How to harmlessly make
a conscious purposeful shift
Praying this day for spiritual solution
The innocence of me is wondering
How now in this here and now
can humanity heal itself
Great Creator we cry
out for soul direction
