A Prayer a Day
01/07/13
And so she woke
And then she rang a bell
And then she dressed
With prayers on lips to tell
And then a breakfast dish
And from her beating heart
A gentle holy wish
Began her daily part
And wings of flight occurred
Translucent sunlight sheer
And every bird concurred
In rays of spirit’s cheer
She sought in humble song
She reached for perfect verse
Inspired to belong
Sweet goddess universe
Begone she cried oh karmic toll
Come tender tame my body’s preach
Align me now with ancient scroll
And with the wisdom my beloveds teach
Listening,
