A Prayer a Day

My eyes fill up with water much too easily
these days resonating with the sorrows of this world.
There seems to be a daily violation of the handbook of human kindness with actions tearing at its holy pages in unconscious abandon.
Wounded minds running destructively wild, forgetting all too often that we are pure spirit living in flesh…here to grow our love.
Today I pray for this planet as a mother
prays with a deep concern for her children.
May humanity be guided to live in the land of no punishment nurtured in a garden of flowers and saints.
May we be led by the light of reason
back into our original nature
of peace and compassion.
