A Prayer a Day

One day I shall leap high the tsunamis of life
into the rippling currents of eternity
away from the known into the farthermost
river pools of the unknown
One day I shall step through
the curtains of mortality
through the veil of spirit
breaking the silver seal
to
surely
move
on
Until that day arrives
I shall with human love remain
awake and oh so very alive
Seeking artfully
Training ego
Bobbing and humbly weaving
Giving with heart beat true
As I gratefully continue breathing
