I am thankful
for the blue of skies
 for the sight of eyes
for all choices wise
for the beauty of this planet earth
for love and light and each moment’s birth
for the seas and the mountains
for the animals for my breath
for every lifetime
for every peaceful death
for water, wine and cranberry brew
for artists, actors, and poets who
 serve the muse
 show the way
lift life
 higher
 a wee bit
 each day
