A Prayer a Day

My heart rolls and ripples on waves
of turbulence and empathy for 

every abuse paid upon 

any of gods children

 by the cruelty of inhumanity
It’s the tearing of the
 collective innocence
that makes me sad, cry and pray
 for the art of love to rein supreme
over the greedy worship of the material
I ask there come a washing clean

 of all trespasses and that 

sacred compassion

 wakes each of us
Living one together we rise

Truly we rise as one together
Let us find pathways 

in the name of all that is holy human

back to the garden of divine sensibility
