A Prayer a Day

I accept that
everyone goes away
 sooner or later,
  (pray into the arms of light),
 though admittedly it saddens me.
No matter how new and shinny any
thing may be, eventually it lets go its glow.
It is the natural cycle, but still it stings,
when suddenly that “back to source”
bell rings and a love one no longer is with us.
Today I pray
that while we are here,
we use our time wisely
honoring this planet
 and each other and that
 we reap and sow pathways
of compassion and inspiration.
 I pray for love to triumph over all and everything.
May the powers that be...come to realize
that we are here but for a ragged instance
 and that the only real value in life
is the connection of hearts.
