Grateful to be here
Grateful you are near
Grateful for the oxygen in the air
Grateful for nature's beauty
Grateful for each soulful duty
Grateful gentle birds are singing
Grateful for the feelings
church bells usher in
when they're ringing
Breath has been given me
Humbled to be living free
Awed and inspired
Challenged by what life requires of us all
Pray god to be lifted when we fall
Pray the goddess we are
blessed with every mortal test
Grateful for this throbbing heart
Grateful now to do my part
