Purring for touch

Making eye contact

Luxuriating 

Feeling the safety 

of belonging

Wanting to be loved

Needing affection

Reminding me... don't we all

How supreme 

are those moments

 of soulful connection 

Feeling in sync with 

the heart beat of life

In flow with the breath 

of another living being

How divine is love

How sacred is trust and loyalty shared

How holy is the true nature of intimacy

Seeking to know

To understand

what is driving

humanity

I pray to listen and to hear

 the voice of the divine and 

to clearly comprehend 

my assignment here on planet earth

Again and again millions 

are  praying for peace and 

I join them with every beat of my heart

Stop the fights
