A Prayer a Day

Children are playing
outside my window across
the street in the school yard
Their voices sounding spirited,
energetic and life affirming
So very active...so full of wonder
Bless their open hearts and free spirits
May they hold to their
innocence, as long as possible
May those in charge of guiding
these
children,
know that they
have been given a
sacred responsibility
May these guardians
choose the right words
to inspire these children
May they encourage them
to grow wholesomely and naturally
seeking truth and wisdom along the way
Loving themselves,
trusting their lives
and each other
Respectful
of
the
miracles
of
nature
Listening,
