A Prayer a Day

04/19/14

Grateful this day for our capacity to

get along with so many in this big city.

It is rather a miracle of hearts and minds

that millions of souls move about

day after day

 week after week

 year after year

 respectfully and harmlessly

going about the art of living.

It is only a few who poke holes

in the fabric of our harmony.

I choose to continue praying for the collective

cooperation and remaining a part of the design.

Blessings upon all of us

in the name of wholly peace.

A Prayer a Day

04/18/14

A little water

A little light

A little nurturing

A little wandering

A little wondering

A little laughter

A few tears

A little work

A little play

A little action

A bit of stillness

A lover’s touch

A little musing

A word or two

A little music

A little dance

A little dreaming

A little lift

A little inspiration

A little romance

A thriving spirit

A breath of living

A Prayer a Day

04/17/14

First step Last step

Each step landing clean

The music and the magic

 And the melodies in-between

Alive we are to hear them

Born we are to bear them

Muscled up we leap into the air

Soulful wings fly us high

Spirit-bodies lift us fair

And we dance the dance without a care

Lit by love in the art we share

A Prayer a Day

04/16/14

Holy is everywhere

Sacred is in everything

Love was speaking before the beginning

and thus continues never-ending

Kindness holds the key to realization

Compassion grows the soul

Generosity heals the heart

Stillness breeds genius insight

Brotherhood invites the conscious paradigm

"Water the Miracle"Mystical Philosophy/A Prayer a Day©2014

"Water the Miracle"

A Prayer a Day

04/15/14

A main water pipe has broken on the street

where I live and there is no running water.

How stunning a reminder that

I not take anything for granted.

I now get to experience once again how powerfully

the lack of running water impacts just about everything!

I can not make my morning coffee.

I can not flush the toilet.

I can not brush my teeth.

I can not wash my face, hands or take a shower.

I can not wash the dishes.

I can not casually turn on the faucet and take a drink!

All I hear when I do, is the whisper of air in the pipes.

 I am stopped.

But grateful that I can walk out of my apartment

to the corner supermarket and find an abundant

choices of bottled water!!!

Then I think to myself, my god there are sooooo

many people in this world who are absolutely

“all the time”

without running water...some....completely without water.

And I pray with a deeper heart for those

MUCH less fortunate then I.

And in this moment of clarity,

as I am temporarily and slightly inconvenienced

in my modern blessed place on this planet,

I bow to the gods and goddess

of water ... the miracle of nature.

"What Blessing"

Marjorie Lipari©1988-2014

A Prayer a Day

04/14/14

What blessing is the animal kingdom

What a gift the trees

What miracle the flowers

What magic is the breeze

What glory is the story

What brilliance is the tale

What wonder is the thunder

What power is the sail

What inspiration is the

paradigm that has us cross the bridge

What unseen, unknown wisdom

climbs the peaks of mountains' ridge

But best of all the ALL OF ALL

that holds us up as one

The air we breathe

The light received

The stars, the moon, the sun

So live on

 Fly high

Visions deep

Inner eye

Dancing truth

Winged dove

  Soulful genius

Birthing love
