Wearisome and worrisome 

Are the amalgams of arguments 

And mad-minded politics

 Acted upon these days

Troubling and damaging  

Is the misguided insistence 

To separate ourselves

From one another 

Battling for power 

Claiming superiority

Though in truth

You are my sister

 You are my brother

Down to the bone

Again asking

 Why We and What for

Are We here?

Is it not to share and care for

One another and this blue planet

In the name of love

Nurtured in the sacredness of life

Life is...thank god for that too

Hope and luck and laughter and music 

and rhythm and poetry and good food

 and color and water and fresh flowing air 

and babies and dogs...oh yes dogs... and cats and hats

 and geniuses and actors and dancers and artists and healers and dealers and minds  of all kind and openhearted mamas and those who are willing to take on life's challenges and responsibilities with clarity and emotional intelligence

Bless those who foster integrity 

Praise be the brave and honest folks 

who follow through, caring about others
