A Prayer a Day

Grateful for I am here...held in the arms of Mother Earth.
Truly there is no one else’s breath I would rather be breathing.
I pray when the moment to release this precious flesh falls
upon me, that I shall pass through the mortal veil
gracefully morphing into a sacred other.
I pray too that everyone I know
and those whom I do not know
shall in their precise and perfect soul moment
fly away with their last breath a tender
whisper on the gentlest of breezes.
As we each turn the pages of The Great Book of Mystery
let us travel with light and love and angelic escort
back to the altars of our divine selves.
There
to
be
world
weary
and
wounded
no
longer
