Oh gentle goddess
within I pray patience
on days when nerves
fray fragile
exposed to louder,
harsher, sharper edges of life
that ride in on the backs
of salty egos...mine included!
Calling to the creative
source of light and inspiration to
please increase my mortal capacity,
that I may selflessly engage
with community in purposeful ways,
fueled only with the fearlessness of love
Lord, claim this mind of mine
that I may make peace
with my thought-forms
