A Prayer a Day

This city is
busy-busy-noisy-noisy
Temperament tested, I was
 far too early this morning
with banging and dropping
 against my bedroom wall
And thud- thud -thud-thud
ripping me out of a deep sleep
because of hard working
laborers toiling next door
And I found myself feeling as though,
in order for my neighbors to
have their property upgraded
 the quality of my life is
being unpleasantly affected
I got riled - I got angry
My speaking got cranky
I'm human-I guess-non-the -less
Oh how cleansing the truth can be
Not pretending or presenting
to always be carefree
BUT, I still stand quite passionately
 LOVing Life
In-spite of my emotional hiccups
"This is but a small disturbance"
I say to myself
"Easily forgiven from within
stepping back to muse
 the bigger picture."
