A Prayer a Day

I keep promising my better self
that I will to not swear anymore
But then in the very next moment
as I am feeling even the smallest amount of frustration,
you might find me cursing at my computer, for example.
Then I reinstate the promise to myself
until the next stalled upload or stream freeze occurs
Oh but for my human frailty
I suppose I aught not make such a big deal of it
(gentle gentle)
Rather I shall continue making the promised effort
not to curse…I swear…I mean it this time
Amen Amen I say again Amen!
