A Prayer a Day

The truth is the truth is the truth,
or so I thought, though seemingly
relative in the flow of mortal circumstances.
Too often as of late, the truth is being
brutally juggled and manipulated.
Shades of gray, from where I sit,
appear to be closer to the actual color of what’s so,
in most situations, however in some cases
black and white wins, for example, as we know,
dead is dead
gravity is a constant
impermanence is real
and love is a vital necessity
for the survival of the species.
