Nobody is perfect
I certainly am not
Perhaps perfection exists
in a photo, or a moment’s smile
or in the stroke of a paint brush,
or in the melodic progression of a symphony
When choosing who to vote for or who to marry,
or who to befriend, flexibility of thinking and the honing
of an understanding and tolerance for our human being-ness
is key to harmonious living…not perfection, for none of us stand as perfect,
Perfection is nothing more than a concept… I’d say, when it comes to flesh and blood.
We each and all have flaws and we all make mistakes.
Growth is born of this truth.
I choose to look for love ,empathy,
compassion and open hearted spirit
in a fellow human, rather than perfection
