A Prayer a Day

Thank god for the mothers of this world
who give everything of themselves
for their beloved children
Those willing to go the distance
to keep their off spring safe and nurtured
Blessed be the laboring goddess
who works day and night
to care for her family
Praise be the strength
of nature's women, their courage, their spirit,
their tenacity and their grace of motherhood
We all have the seed of the mothering instinct within,
for the human heart (at its best) is inclined to mother.
