No such thing as city quiet
No such thing as a city starlit sky
No such thing as city stillness
But perhaps for a rare beat passing by
But I would not trade this city in
for all the money...honey
I could not stay away from
the deep currents of energy,
the curiosity flowing,
the knowing and sowing
of all the art and inspiration
So I say with gratitude,
fully aware of the good fortune
of staying and playing here, in
circles of discovery and wonder
Able to elevate my spirit in
whirlpools of miracles and magic
Allied with creative talented
and imaginative beings
