A Prayer a Day

Early morning rise
Last night’s dreams still in my eyes
Got quite a day ahead
Made my bed
Coffees up
In my cup
Taking a sip or two
Making room for the new
Letting go some of the old
Unfolding into now
Gratefully alive
Spirit of me thrive
Praying to the holy unknown
Little by little my soul gets grown
