A Prayer a Day

The inner-child of me craves harmony
and my heart aches for humanity
these days, as I see and feel the heavy
measure of discord around the world.
My innocent and true self
has always been in love with
the gentle and the tender soul.
Wanting to align with
those who are vigilant
in their thoughtfulness
and concern for others.
Summoning the sanity muscle
within myself to stay balanced.
Reaching deep to gather a courageous
consciousness to face what’s so.
My mystical optimism chooses
to see the future through eyes of better days.
Calling prayerfully on the light of spirit
and the power of love to flow through
the body/mind of humankind.
Hopefully we shall come to
manifest an elegance
of a peaceful reality.
