A Prayer a Day

As I am musing the unknown
I am engaged in the moment
with a sharpness of attention.
Reminded that the only place I can be
is in the now, where the reality of my
perceptions are painted, and the
impulses of my actions are encouraged.
I listen closely to what I say to myself,
having trained myself to do so.
Each word I speak/think
inwardly rides on my heartbeats
and determines the filter I look through
into life, that colors the quality of my experiences.
Today I choose to invite the light to shine
upon the inner chambers of my mind,
as I pay respect to the way in
which I monologue to myself,
knowing each word influences the
vibrations I am putting out into this world.
I pray to resonate humbly with the divine.
