Oh my lord of light
Who lasers through my darkness
Leading me to holy realms
Gifting me with mind and heart to see
Walking me away from mortal ignorance
Driving my spirit onto highways
of divine awareness

A Prayer a Day

Respecting each other's beliefs is an 
essential part of civilized behavior,
though it does not mean we must concur.
As we each have our own perceptions
 and insights unique to us like our finger prints, 
at times their occurs a riling 
in the nature of our chemistries,
like water and oil...both valid...both substantial...both significant.
It pays not for us to kill off 
the water or destroy the oil.
It is my humble prayer this day that we 
craft pathways of conscious awareness and
 design paradigms of cooperation and cohabitation,
 honoring each other rather than pouring 
fuel on the fires of our differences. 
Might we collectively consider appreciating 
the sacred causes and the divine reasons 
we are all here together living this reality.
 And rather than 
 “biting the bullets”
may I suggest we bury them in the 
grace of our understanding.

What order of nature
What chaos of nature
What contradictions of reality
Life with all her opposites
Are we not here 
to be and see and feel 
and sense and realize
 more and more
Do we not live in 
vibrating phenomena
 that cannot ever be completely 
explained nor solidly understood 
in full scale with these human brains
Yet 
Isn’t this life’s magic 
Isn't this life’s mystery
Isn’t this life's dynamic game 
We 
do
not 
know 
everything
yet
we
are
thrust 
to
 live 
in
a
flow
 of
 constant 
discovery

A Prayer a Day

As I am human, I resonate
with memories and feelings. 
Some of heart -Some of mind
Some of body -Some of spirit
Remembering now
 when I was younger
 how much energy 
I gave into 
“states of wanting” 
 Today I am 
far more accepting of
 “what’s so”
Still of course, my feelings go deep, perhaps 
even deeper than when I was younger.
And my heart at time, can still be activated
 with yearnings to have what is not there.
But rarely do I suffer 
“for what I do not have”
I am most days 
“peacefully grateful”
for what is alive in my here and now 
and for all that feeds the essence of my life.
