A Prayer a Day

There are times when human perception
is critically off range and other times when
it is stunningly accurate and on target.
I pray we mindfully and meditatively
effort to become electric and keen
cleaning the screens of our perceptions
hearing and seeing and behaving
with a sharpness of clarity
and a creative prowess
I pray we as a people hone our spiritual eye
bearing witness to the truth of our commonality
and the nature of our vulnerability.
I pray that we wake in our dignity to
honor and repair the glory of our humanity
realizing once again in the name of love
we are holy sacred brothers and sisters
Amen!
