A Prayer a Day

Walking too many
Wastelands of illusion
Bodies bare
Feet have no shoes
Some without water
Many without food
We are human
We are in need
We are human
We are in need

Compassionate sisters
Compassionate brothers
lend us your hands
lend us your hearts
 lift us from these struggles
We are your family
We are your family

We pray for the day when all is calm and filled
with grace, when the light of the divine shines each face
when the touch of kindness is everywhere
 and ego blindness is no longer fare
