A Prayer a Day

People who hold power over others
telling them what to do and how they are
supposed to live, has always been anathema to my spirit.
I am not referring to those people who have an inner strength
of power and are kind enough to reach out and lend a hand
or give advice (when asked)or teach others who wish to learn,
or those who consciously guide the footsteps of young ones,
or those who selflessly offer their energy to the less fortunate.
I am talking about those who oppress millions of people across this globe, with belief systems rooted in fear and fundamentalism.
Those who at this very moment (as I type in time) are imposing unconscionable restrictions on the rights of others.
I pray for freedom and liberty and wholesome expression
of and for the heart, alive in every person on this planet.
I pray for the bullies to no longer have any muscle
what-so -ever over anyone...ever!
