Is not a lie a lie?
Is not the truth the truth ?
Disturbingly, as of late,
both seem to be issued forth
in utterly subjective ways
Knowing an untruth
claimed out loud enough times
begins to resonate as an absolute truth
to the ears that wish it to be so
And the truth seekers find
themselves spending energy on
attempting to disprove the lies,
unfortunately flowing all around us,
gaining far too much traction
May we hone to own the courage
facing and fortifying the truth
May we collectively honor and respect
the sacredness and grace of truth
and the sanity of truth's necessity
