Oh the
lightheartedness
of life's simplicity
Recalling the easier days
Senses remembering gentler ways
When innocence seemed a given
When we were fearlessly living
Running with abandon
across open fields
Lying on freshly
cut green green grass
Luxuriating the scent
Eyes on the blue blue sky
Creatively acting
out fabulous stories
Making it up as went along
Racing through wild woods
Fueled only with the
imagination of childhood
Excited and awed with the
adventure and beauty of nature
Loyally loving each other
