A Prayer a Day

Every breath taken in the
here and now is demanding
the prowess of spiritual muscle
The world is changing
rapidly in unexpected ways,
seemingly disrupting corrupting
basic values and negatively affecting
the collective heart and soul
Oh that love could but
chase the blues away
Making way
for compassion
for common sense
for kindness and dignity
for the manifestation of true peace
Oh that the stubborn, fixed and
righteous body/mind give an ear to the voice
of wisdom, sanity and emotional intelligence ,
riding the vibrations of wholesome flexibility,
creative thought and selfless problem solving
On the wings of grace so be it
