A Prayer a Day
04/06/11
He was a strong man in every sense of the word.
He held a healthy opinion of himself, absent of any
signs of grandiosity or arrogance and he was a gentle human.
He noticed things about people and situations that
went past most others, and had the skills to respond
in unobtrusive, yet brilliantly effective ways.
His energy was enormous and his heart was that much bigger.
His hands were healing and his eyes sparkled,
even if he was exhausted from having worked
full out in the world for what seemed endless hours a day.
Love was his religion and compassion was his mascot.
He was not a martyr, but rather a doer who gave
with intentions to assist where assistance was needed
the most at any given moment.
His philosophy was:
“If I take good care of my spirit, then I can be of service in this world.”
He was never chained by rigid formulas of behavior.
He preferred choices that bore him a spontaneity,
laced with a logical wisdom, informed by vibrations
of the mystical and the sacred realms.
What he valued and protected most was his own integrity.
No matter the situation, if his integrity was intact he felt
confident...that he could hold his center staying on the mark.
He was drawn often into the great silence within.
There he found refuge and holy comfort so he might live in peaceful sanity with this world.
He displayed a spectacular charisma of spirit.
He practiced to remind himself daily that he was no one special.
His realization of connection to humanity was his perfection.
