A Prayer a Day

From where I sit and muse...I say
"God is not responsible for how
we treat each other in this world."
If we mortals make a mess
is it not our task to clean it up
to forgive each other, heal each other
and care for one another?
The door to the "garden of light"
is unlocked, whether or not we venture
within ourselves is a key of choice.
To assume that
higher power is pulling
the strings, I dare to say,
I muse a grand illusion.
Isn’t the whole point of human-being-ness
to harness our free will, grow our souls,
find ways to emulate god-like spirit,
and increase our capacity to love?
We are seeded with the sacred
We own the power to blossom
We have been wholly designed
to be root and flower of the divine
Surely we are god impulsed!
