A Prayer a Day
11/23/15
There by the river,
she sat still and quiet,
peacefully watching the rippling,
sparkling flow of the ice cold water.
This was her chosen place, her sanctuary,
where she listened to the natural sounds
of the divine "splash and dance" of the holy waters.
This is where she prayed for the world and all its people,
where she prayed for herself and for the animals,
and the integrity of the air, where she prayed
for the healing of the past filled with all its memories
and all its sadness, and where she prayed with gratitude
for the happy times she had the privilege to know.
Life was good to her and she
wished only goodness upon others.
She was not a saint, but her heart was nurturing
and kind and her spirit was loyal to the goddess of love.
