A Prayer a Day

Bless those who have the courage to step out into this
world with intentions of making positive differences.
We all know life can be dramatically changed in an instant.
We get wounded.
Some act crazy.
It is critical.
We are shocked.
Some are crying.
We keep praying.
It is not the first time.
Human beings do looney things.
Is there a way to block our assaults ?
How do we govern our violent impulses?
What is the way, the road, the plan, the key back to sanity?
More of us are loving... than not.
More of us care about other people.
Compassion lives in every natural heart.
May we pray for personal practices to effectively
restore in us an inner calm that trumps our need to hurt.
May mortal acts of aggression and hateful motives be
transmuted into creative energies in the
divine flame innately ours.
Pray those wounded be healed, including
the sick of mind who are compelled to do harm.
May we put down the guns and refrain from
the abuse and misuse of our words.
