A Prayer a Day

We are openhearted witnesses to god’s eminent domain.
Water glistening, currents flowing, giving drink to feed the chain.
We are whollyhearted, sacred soldiers, loyal to the dove.
With inspired skillful instincts.
Tender gentle hands to glove.
Elevated, celebrated, graceful touch of zen.
Beaming, dreaming, light divine, born to earth again.
What for we ask ?
What is the task ?
What words are we to say ?
Each day in wonder.
We knuckle under.
To refine this mortal play.
