A Prayer a Day

Gazing up at the sky
Feeling the heat of the day
Watching the glorious reflections
of light rippling over the river
rising and falling with the currents of life
Being a part of it all
Oh what wonder this world
Praying now to walk this body/ mind
harmlessly in holy directions
Asking that my highest-self alert me
whenever I misstep, helping me dissolve
my ego resistance to the truth of any given matter
Calling with humility to the angels in all of us
to keep us on course remembering
We are here to love
We are here to grow in love
We are here to light the way
for each other and for those yet to come
May we listen to the voices of our better selves
May we gently make corrections, when necessary
without judgment...in the name of
compassionate responsibility
