A Prayer a Day

And so there are those who have everything.
And there are those who have nothing.
And there are those in-between.
Bless them all!
Today I am grateful to be among the in-between.
Praise be to all good fortune!
I pray with deep heart for those who are in struggle.
I pray with deep heart
...especially...
for the children who dangle
at the mercy of homelessness,
hungry and abject poverty.
May we come to prioritize and solve with creative and
emotional intelligence every mortal branch of deprivation.
Let us together gather our
resources to lift the needy.
May we lead with efforts motivated
in compassion and generosity of spirit.
May every form of fear based selfishness and greed
hiding in the corners of our collective psyche,
be fleshed out, realized and held in the arms of conscious community, until the all of us
knows full well that the truth of wealth
is love and the dignity of belonging.
