A Prayer a Day

I ’m thinking about the human
condition and the circuitry of our brains.
I am pondering the range of behavior
around the globe and the concept of free will.
What is it that drives some mortals into extremes of
off centered, egoistic insane actions,and others toward saintly and selfless living?
Certainly most of us feel the distinction between vibrations of balanced reasoning,
and those of craziness that morph into grand destructive messes.
Today humbly I call to invoke our sacred sanity and the guiding spirit of our hearts,
to leap us into a more wholesome design for living.
I pray that monetary wow and worry lessen its grip upon our psyches,
and ceases to dominate our focus
( for it is leaning more and more on sacrificing almost everything else of value within us.)
May the energy divine flowing in us, free our thinking to elevate our intentions.
May every man, woman, child, and all living beings, including our dear earth,
be realized as the true treasure, relaxing our fixation on the material.
Everyone indeed comes up empty worshipping the golden calf.
Love is our only gold, and we its benefactors and recipients.
