Let us dignify who we are and why we are here.
A Prayer a Day
07/10/11There are so many reasons for praying
into this enigmatic paradigm we call mortal life on earth.
Some days it is difficult to fathom the bazaar
choices made by those now in leadership positions.
Let us pray this day that each of us will
(as was so skillfully sounded in MOONSTRUCK by Cher)
“Snap out of it! Snap out of it!”If we could just come out of the ego haze.
If we could only wake up in wholeness.
May we seize the light of our days here together,
with greater responsibility for our behavior and thinking. Let love be what speaks us,
for indeed love-less-ness
does mute the voice of spirit.
It has become painfully obvious that when personal power and material greed
are placed above the well being of humanity, it has a degrading and toxic effect
upon living reality.
May we lead with our humanity.
May we honor the natural order of mother earth.
Let us value water more than gold.
Let us love our children more than oil.
Let us dignify who we are and why we are here.
May we this day collectively come to recognize the true meaning of
abundance and open our lives in selfless compassionate acts of understanding.
